Today started having coffee in the screened porch. A neighbour dropped by and invited us to come out on David’s boat into a small shallow bay for swimming, floating, and visiting. Sounds great, sure!! We are in. Over to the dock at 11 boarded and off we go for about a 20 min ride south west into a beautiful sandy shallow bay. The water was bathtub warm. I jumped off the side of the boat, caught my arm and now have a bruise. Lol. There were about 15 of us. Got to visit and get to know a few people a bit. Some live here year round, but most spend 3-6 months here. Mostly from USA. Fresh pineapple, nacho chips with home made salsa, pita bread with hummus and all the Landsharks and rum punches you could drink. It was quite the get to know your neighbour party. Around 4pm back on board for the short boat ride back. BUT wait…. The wind has come up and omg what a ride. Bouncing in the boat so much, it was so hard to hang on. Relaxed at the casita for an hour then over to the Tradewinds restaurant for Monday soup night again. This week was shrimp and sausage creole. It was delicious! More visiting with the surrounding community. Great people down here!
