Sooo to stay in Belize more than 30 days you have to go to the Immigration office and have your passport stamped. Then you go to the cashiers office and pay $100 US or $200BL per person then take the receipt to a place to get it photocopied and then back to the immigration office to show the receipt. Took about an hour. Jill came with us to show us the ropes. I didn’t have to do it cause I’m only here 3 weeks. Brenda and Garnet are staying 2 months. After all that, off to a little fruit / veggie market for a watermelon and some tomatoes. Oooh green tomatoes. Yes we are going to make green fried tomatoes! Then on to a restaurant for lunch. Blues on the Corozal Bay. Beautiful restaurant with amazing views. There was a set of stairs going down to the sea so I took my shoes off and decided to descend the stairs. Brenda was with me. I told her to be careful cause the stairs looked slippery. Took one step with my right foot onto the wet step and omg down I went on my ass. Stubbed my left toes hard into the slimy green moss on the step. Think I broke my big toe and ripped the ends of my toe nails on the other foot and gathered sea weed slim under them. Lol It was quite the scene as I tried to get my feet under me to get up. Then a wave came and filled my shorts. Hahaha Once on my feet Brenda noticed some warning signs. Check them out. Omg hahaha! Finally after some laughs we had a fantastic lunch and a few beers. 3 ferry waits later we are on our way back to Orchid Bay. Watched a drunk Belizian at the ferry fall into the water. Don’t worry he got up again. Good for a laugh or two. Jill took us to see her house in Copperbank. She has it for sale and it is right on the water. Beautiful. Back to the resort for swimming and soaking my toes. At 6pm we headed to the Tradewinds restaurant for soup night and socializing. Back to the casita for the evening. Another fun filled day with lots of laughs with our new friend Jill.
